Jennifer Velez is a Los Angeles based content specialist, editor, copywriter, and panel moderator.
She was previously a content specialist at Meta where she curated and analyzed Reels content. Prior to Meta, she was an editor at Grammy.com. She revamped the Recording Academy website with more Latin music coverage and was the first writer to cover an international music festival for it. She has moderated Recording Academy and GRAMMY.com panels discussing music, race, ethnicity and the LGBTQ+ community, among other topics. In the past, she has reported on immigration, politics and local news. Jennifer has experience in magazine production, radio and podcasting gained working for National Public Radio, Southern California Public Radio and Mother Jones. As a freelancer, she has written for NPR's Latino USA, Bustle, LA Taco, Thrillist, Wonderland magazine, and more. Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Southern California Annenberg School of Journalism. |
